Before becoming the rector of Innopolis University, he headed the Laboratory of Mathematical Foundations of Machine Learning at the Institute for Information Transmission Problems and the Laboratory of Multiscale Neurodynamics for Intelligent Systems at Skoltech, while also holding the position of Chief Researcher at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.
